Entry Requirements for Honours

Science Faculty Requirements: see also University Handbook

Completed BSc, BBiomedSc or BASc Degree
For combined Science Degree: at least 300 points + satisfy requirements for a single Science Degree
Or equivalent degree (note that BA or BCom is not equivalent) plus
A weighted average of 65+ in 3rd year Science subjects (see the Handbook for details)
If you do not satisfy these requirements and want to do Honours, contact the HoD

Departmental Requirements:

65+ in at least four 3rd year Mathematics/Statistics subjects
Appropriate prerequisites (exceptions can be made at the discretion of the HoD)
A 65+ pass is required to gain BSc (Hons) Degree

Requirements for Postgraduate Diploma in Science:

Not as stringent, and it is possible to replace up to two fourth-year courses by approved third-year courses
