PhD Top-up Scholarship in Mathematics and Statistics
For PhD students working on a project which combines advances in a theoretical area in mathematics (including probability and statistics) with their applications in other fields including, but not limited to, biology, information technology, engineering and medicine.
Details
Number of scholarships: Two scholarships to be awarded.
Eligibility: Students entering the PhD program in Mathematics & Statistics in 2018 and enrolled on a full-time basis. Students must be receiving an APA, MRS or MIRS but must not be in receipt of any other top-up scholarship.
Value: $5,000.00p.a. with the total value $17,500.00.
Tenure: 3.5 years depending on progress and continuing eligibility. A recipient is paid in 7 x $2,500 instalments after 4th January and 1st July each year. Australian and international students are eligible to apply.
Applicants will be assessed on their scholarship score and the quality of their research proposal.
