Mathematics for Biomedicine – 5 years on

Five years ago I gave a colloquium ‘Mathematics for Biomedicine: the subject not the discipline’, describing how I wrote a new service subject for first year biomedicine students and how the initial offering was received. 2018 marks the sixth year of offer so it may be useful to reflect on how the subject has evolved, how it has been taken up by new teaching staff and where its future lies. It may offer insights into teaching mathematics in a biological context.
