MSLC Occasional Seminar

Online homework systems such as WeBWork are an attractive alternative to complement traditional learning and assessment tools as they can provide consistent and timely feedback to large cohorts in undergraduate subjects. This year, WebWork was piloted in the first year subject Introduction to Mathematics (MAST10012).

I will present a summary of its implementation as well as the data we collected from the pilot. Based on this, I will provide some suggestions of what could be improved next time and things to consider if implemented in other subjects. The remaining time will be an open forum to gather ideas, comments, and suggestions about the potential role and use of similar online tools here in the School.
