Bachelor of Science

This is a typical course plan for a student undertaking the Diploma in Mathematical Sciences alongside a Bachelor of Science, and taking the Calculus 1 first-year mathematics pathway.

Subjects counting towards the Diploma of Mathematical Sciences only
Subjects counting towards Bachelor degree only
Subjects cross credited so that they count towards both the Bachelor degree and the Diploma of Mathematical Sciences

Note: ** Students intending to take the Applied Mathematics specialisation who do not already have evidence of competence in computer programming will also need to complete a computing subject to satisfy the computing prerequisite for MAST30028. These students are recommended to take COMP10001 Foundations of Computing as one of their level-1 science subjects in semester 1, 2, 3 or 4, or COMP20005 Engineering Computation as a level-2 science elective in semester 3 or 4. Students in this situation may wish to seek individual course advice.
