Every year Women in Mathematics Day is celebrated on the 12th of May.
This date coincides with the birthday of Maryam Mirzakhani, the first woman to be awarded the Fields Medal. On this day, organisations around the world celebrate the contributions and achievements of women in mathematics and statistics.
