Mathematics and Statistics Museum

Explore the School's long history in mathematical instruments used by staff and alumni.

Located near the North Entrance to the Peter Hall building, the Museum has four glass cabinets displaying historical mathematical instruments used by past staff and alumni. The display includes an Integraph, Ellipsograph, and Parabolograph for drawing curves and a Typewriter with mathematical symbol keys.

The items have been curated by Dr Richard Gillespie (Senior Curator, Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology). Each item has an information label briefly outlining its history and what the item was used for.
